Just that villainess/heroine protagonist twinning, lol. There’s a lot more to say... I think is also why Cinder has lost her left eye. Half of the moon is broken, and Cinder is the half that fell to the earth. But the attitude in RWBY that even injured or hurt, you are very powerful.

Also, the moon is on fire as it’s falling. Like Cinder.

If Cinder and Ruby eventually work together, then the moon will be whole (and it will symbolically redeem the God of Destruction’s petty destruction).
