It appears a stray Beansprout has fallen asleep in the large throne within Yellow’s office, she must have been trying to do big gem work again before her nap, but she only tuckered herself out from just climbing up there.

There she was. Yellow took the impossibly tiny being carefully in her hands, hoping she wouldn’t ruin her nap. She doubted it, however: the little one exhausted herself only by trying to imitate her.

“You should be more careful. You’ll never fully develope and be able to take care of your work if you don’t rest properly.”

Okay hear me out.

When Yellow is calm enough she unconsciously starts purring and Blue loves it. So whenever they’re together Blue always aims at getting her to Purr using massage, just talking, cuddling.

Opinion on PolyDiamonds?

I’m okay with it and I think it’s an interesting concept.

I used to be more on the side that White is the ma’ and Y and B and P are strictly sisters, and that prolly they are one of the few gems who naturally have the closest understanding of family in a human context. I didn’t have a beef w PolyDiamonds even then, but for me Y and B had been coded a lot like very close siblings/sisters and I personally preferred them in a platonic/familial relationship.

But then the Wanted bomb came along and HOLY HECK, are those two totally married. That was the sappiest pose I saw in the last 5 ys probably. I still think that White is the senior of their family unit. She probably over saw her younger peers’ incubation and emerging in the Kindergarten at least to some degree.

Bean lifted her arms towards the much bigger Diamond, it was clear she wished to be picked up.

Yellow leaned, picking the gemling in her arms and lifted her to the level of her face.

Lately, they argued at lot, and that was one of those times. Yellow was practically growling at her when White’s mouth stole any remainging words from Yellow’s mouth. And her breath --yes, even if she didn’t really needed to breath. Well, she actually needed to oxygen herself, now that she was carrying a certain gemling. When she could finally pull away, she did.

“That is not a valid argument, White!”

Beanie stares at the new form her mother had suddenly taken before slowly reaching her tiny hand towards the now feline matriarch "Mama?"

She is honestly surprised that at least Beanie recognizes her. Don’t look at her, sweet child.

“Mama, why are all the hoomans wanting you to destroy their planet? Weren’t they trying to stop that before?”

“Yes, honey. They are creatures beyond reasoning, I suppose that is why.”

Beansprout looked up to her mother in curiosity as she held a drawing she made recently of the old authority symbol, she had seen it around multiple times, but there was only one thing she didn’t quite understand. “Mommy?” She asked softly “Who is this?” She pointed to the Pink section of the drawing. “I know that there’s You, Mommy Blue and Mama White..But Who’s this?”

Oh. Her.

“... A long time ago there was a fourth diamond, our... Pink Diamond. She was much younger and Blue or I. And...”

“It doesn’t matter. She is not with us anymore.”
