What's the difference between psychoactive and non-psychoactive cannabinoids?
Non-psychoactive cannabinoids can be incredibly beneficial for inflammation, pain management, appetite stimulation, as well as stress & anxiety without being impairing like psychoactive cannabinoids. These cannabinoids do not act as agonists on our CB1 receptors, which is responsible for the central nervous system stimulation and intoxication associated with cannabinoids like THC and CBN.
Psychoactive cannabinoids pass the blood brain barrier and act as partial or full agonists on our CB1 and CB2 receptors which regulate things like pain perception, mental/emotional state, appetite, inflammation, and immune system response.
