“Because she needed a fucking hug” ??? Not because she was happy to see bellamy? Okay there writers 😅 I didn’t get any romantic undertones from that scene in that script honestly

Oh nonny chiiiiiiill. I didn’t take it that way at all. She needed a FUCKING HUG from Bellamy specifically. And honestly mood. I personally think it’s hilarious that E and O are in the back quietly in shock, while Clarke is like FUCK ALL OF Y’ALL, YES EVEN THE GUNS, I NEED TO HUG HIM RIGHT NOW!!!

Is she hugging him thinking, well now I can be together forever with the love of my life? Maybe not. But this is her person, and he’s alive. I think she is feeling pure relief and honestly lucky and giddy about the fact that he’s actually there. Like the universe gave her this, and she can’t believe it. It’s pure, and makes the betrayal immediately after all the more heartbreaking. I don’t know I just think it’s super telling, that the reunion and betrayal was all about Clarke and Bellamy. I imagine breaking this pesky little brainwashing will be too.

Oh. My. Goodness. IT WAS GREAT!

It is all in the subtext my dears, allllllll in the subtext. 

Yes, because she left him. Last she saw, Octavia had ordered the guards to take Bellamy, along with Indra and Gaia, to the pit. The pit, in which, he would fight to the death. He couldn’t possibly have won against them, right? Does this mean he killed Indra and Gaia? How could this be?

He survived. She can finally breathe again. The man she had called for 2,199 days didn’t die at the hands of her. He somehow made it out of that pit alive and well. But that means if she didn’t kill him then, she would kill him now. She gave McCreary the intel. And she would have to live with that regret of sending him right into the lines of fire. Now what?

Now she cares? Now!? She cared about him when no one else did. She gave him a chance and trusted him; Even when he had attempted to murder the chancellor; Even when he kicked out the pedestal beneath Murphy’s feet; Even when he made mistake after mistake, believed he was a monster who deserved to die; She believed in him because she saw the good in him. And to say after everything they went through, that she didn’t care until now? Unbelievable. She gave her life for that man. 

Clarke was going to betray Bellamy, just as L.exa did to her, if she didn’t do something about it. Except this time, her love would not walk out of it alive. He would never come back from this betrayal. Could she really make this mistake again?

This whole script, paired with Eliza’s acting, just confirms the romantic feelings Clarke had, and still has for Bellamy. Fasten your seat belts y’all, we aren’t making it out of this alive.
