The battle of Azzano deleted scene in it's entirety! Not gifs this time! This is in the deleted scenes of Captain America: The First Avenger.
Bucky, Dum Dum and Gabe aren't technically Howlies here. They are still just members of the 107th. This is the battle of Azzano, during which these three are taken by Hydra and made POWs. Soon Captain America, in his first heroic action (in the MCU), rescues the POWs at Azzano, which include soldiers of all the Allied Forces, and the rest of the soon-to-be Howling Commandos, Jim Morita, Monty Falsworth, and Jacques Dernier, and leads them back to the 107th's base camp.
A short time later, Colonel Chester Phillips, first director of the Strategic Scientific Reserve, tells Steve that they want him to take a team and wipe out the rest of the Hydra bases. At that time, he recruits the Howling Commandos.

The Howling Principals
So in Spiderman: Homecoming, when Peter goes to the principals office you can see a picture of a soldier and a few medals. At first glance, you will probably assume it's the principal himself and because of appreciation to the military he used all those Captain America commercials. But then, the picture is in black and white. It isn't the principal. It's his father. Also know as Jim Morita, one of Cap's personal friend among the howling commandos. The principal probably grew up with stories of the friendship among the 107 and adored the captain so he used all of his commercial videos because he grew up to value those same morals. Both father and son are played by the same actor Kenneth Choi. Who is awesome.
