My city, we will always honor the 49 with love and action. We will miss you everyday.

The past two years it hasn’t failed to rain on this day, it’s as if the tears of this community all fall from the sky.

The thunder will roar in and out, resounding our cries. Softer and softer throughout the day.

Then by the start of our memorial, a rainbow will appear. The radiance of your 49 beautiful souls shines through the darkness.

And we move forward. We speak out, we stand up, we rise above.

We will never forget.

My friend (the one pictured above) and I had the opportunity to visit the Pulse Nightclub. As we walked around, we saw pictures of the loved ones with their family and friends. We saw art that spoke louder than words. It was beautiful. But after that we went along our way and carried on. You know who no longer can carry on? Stanley Almodovar III, 23 years old

This is not to make you feel guilty, this is to honor them and know that we’re all human. This is to show that even with a tragedy, we can be united to become stronger.
