Character Profile: Negamancer
Negamancer is the main villain of the series. He leads the Aberrant tribes against the Knights of Alternia. Negamancer often finds systematic weaknesses in Alternia’s society, and finds ways to exploit those instead of overt attacks.
Negamancer was pretty scary to me as a kid because he doesn’t really have a face. The glowing eyes under the helmet makes him a pretty creepy opponent. But then, the animation style usually got me back into reality, ha ha.
The Aberrant (short story)
I am an impossible life form. My origin is unknown. I’m a translucent liquid-like being with no form symbiotic to human beings. But the truth is we are more of a parasite. We hijack a human body, technically killing the person. Then make the body ours, our sole goal is just to eat. We are bottomless feeders of raw meat. We don’t have any emotion, just survival instinct. We are stronger and more invincible than a normal human being. But I can assure you we are not mindless creatures that will randomly attack people; we stay hidden as much as we can.
I can say that I’m peculiar or an aberrant. Not in the sense of my species, but entirely myself. Normally, we hijack a human and kill it, plain simple. But I don’t. For almost a year now, I’m quietly residing in a human named, Peter. He is a cheerful businessman who is still single up to now. I took a backseat and let him live. I don’t know why.
I learned a lot from him. He is too optimistic that it slowly affected me much deeper than I thought. But we don’t have any emotions and sense of taste, so why bother understanding these human emotions? We have one path: To eat and live.
Sometimes I take over his body whenever he’s in danger. If he dies, I die. Sometimes on whim like today. I decided to eat. Today is a special day. I will not eat raw meat. I decided to eat omelette, Peter’s favourite food. Whenever he eats this thing, he will tremble in delight savouring it. I clearly remembered his emotion. It is foreign to me, but it’s alluring.
I’m quite hungry but I’m hoping for something more not just to satiate my hunger. I took a bite and taste nothing. I waited, and waited but what I’m searching for is not here. I remembered again that blooming feeling he express when eating this thing. I finally notice that emptiness and then, pain blossoming in my being. “We don’t have emotions,” echoes in my mind. I finally understand that we don’t have emotions because we don’t accept to have one. We just need to learn it and be open to possibilities. Like what I have done with my life, I maybe an aberrant but I can consider myself as an evolving individual of my kind.
>> Be a 7-sweep old Aberrant, also known as Aninna Ahvili. In another universe you lived alone in the forest for many sweeps before meeting the troll that you would follow even into the afterlife. However, in this time, you met her as a small wiggler and have known each other since. You spend much of your time with her and another troll around your age, and together the three of you cause much havoc.
>> Right now you are waiting to meet up with the sea-dweller, hoping that she remembered to wear her disguise this time.

Spoiler-y thing concerning the Aberrant below
Going by the headcanon that SBURB players who cannot win their games eventually become something more, trapped in an endless session with only their own madness, a boy by the name of Sebastian Fetch was slowly corrupted by his powers as the Lord of Life. Alone in his session, aside from the Prospitans, Dersites, and his roach-like consorts, he had no one to really connect to. Until the voices from beyond started, obviously.
I wrote a thing a long time ago that detailed his descent into madness, but I'm tempted to rewrite it since things have changed since then.
For one, the Aberrant's first ever creation. He took his consorts and warped them into a new, terrifying form of life. When the Aberrant ascended to godhood, he took this new life with him, like a security blanket. Now able to move through the multiverse, the consorts spread out through summoning accidents or by holes punched in the fabric of creation by the Aberrant itself.
100% devoted to their god, they seek to spread its vision of beauty by transforming all life they come across into forms they hope to please their creator with. Sound familiar yet?
being touched by the Aberrant's light will invigorate you, making you healthier, faster, smarter, stronger, and all-around better. But over weeks and months it will grow inside you and become disappointed with your form as it never changes. It stays the same, static and unattractive, so the light will bend you.
It will morph your body into a form it prefers, but it is never satisfied. The light will never love a single shape, and will bend and twist its host constantly. A few can take advantage of this, forming their bodies into weapons or tools, taking advantage of their rampant healing, but it never lasts. At best, they will delay the light's will for a few days, but eventually it will get bored with the shapes they take and wrench control from them to pursue its own designs.
Like a plague it will spread to everyone around the host, growing in them and changing them in turn. It will change everything around the host, and then work on everything within. The matter they eat will be restructured, seeds they swallow will grow and merge, flesh and bones they consume will be molded into them. Their immune system will mutate rapidly to fight off the bacteria, viruses, and parasites that are also harboring the light, locking in an eternal arms race. Everything around and inside the host will become part of it.
For a short time, the light may consider this merged form perfect, but eventually it will break the host down into a primordial stew, a bubbling brew of raw biomass from which it will spawn new life to shape. It will continue this cycle endlessly until the entire world has been converted into this stage, a sea of biomass that all life on the world devolved into, and new life will evolve from. Then it will produce spores, gigantic cocoons of its own essence, to seed other worlds.
as Ninlia's madness deepens over the sweeps, she will eventually combine the worship and teachings of the Diviner and the Aberrant; the former for knowledge, the latter for power.
Planet TA-R45
A single far-off mining and engineering world in the Empire, notable for the high quality of the armaments it puts out, far above the competition in terms of strength and durability. Sadly, most of what they can put out is only armor and melee weapons, making it impractical in most fights where range is key. The fights they ARE used in, though, are hilariously one-sided.
