Army: There was another thing I remember about Marc in particular: notorious late, almost-on-time guy… Every day in the rink, you’re literally running into the rink to get there. If you had to be there at 9am, you’re there at 9. What’s up with that?

Flower: I don’t know, man. Just stupid, I guess.

When I was younger, I slept in, so that’s why I got there last minute. For games, I try getting in a little earlier to have some free time and stuff, and I didn’t like it ‘cus you’re too relaxed. You sit at the rink and do nothing. So I like to get there last minute. Gets your heart going a bit, right?

Army: Picture this, Caroline. Massive game. Number one goaltender. And here comes this sportscar just blazing into the back of the rink for him to get there on time. ‘Oh, who’s this? The guy that’s not playing tonight?’ ‘No. It’s our number one guy just getting here right on time, running to get in there’.

Caroline: Marc, as much as you love cars, you were able to avoid the infamous - Colby was in it, Evgeni Malkin - Penguins local car commercial. How did you avoid that?

Flower: Yeah, those are awful! Tough one for them. I don’t know. I just find it tough. Car commercials are very often cheesy. But to get a free car for a season, I think a lot of us would do pretty much anything. And I think that’s why Colby did it.

Army: I didn’t even get it for free. I was meant for stardom, and I saw an opportunity and I took it. Me and Talbot ran with it.
