It's completely true how easily he fits into the "big brother" role on the crew
He's basically a paid babysitter at this point
When he's not at the ship's controls he's in the kitchen
Man has a GIFT for food and always keeps his crew well fed and happy
He's memorized everyone's fav food/spice levels and adjusts each bowl/plate based on tolerance
Unless you pissed him off that day then everyone gets spicy
(It's happened before don't think it won't happen again)
Bro can't dance to save his life . . . is that going to stop him? No. <3
He's on the quieter side but he'll throw in a joke or two
Major tech wizard, graduated early, hit all the marks before the age of 20
Loves reading and drinking chai by the pool/in the garden
Loves history and was a pretty good source when the crew needed a fact check
Supportive big bro/dad type
(When he becomes Director of S.P.Y.D.E.R. everyone is his kid, he will adopt everyone, don't mess with his kids)
Little Emma always reminded him of his own little Juniper, so he was always very soft spoken with her and they created a very loving niece/uncle dynamic
(She still calls him every now and then to this day)

The "Gremlins" being literally everyone except Max and Inkling
They just like to cause havoc at his expense
"Cardi . . ." — "Yes Sam?" — "Why is Launch Bay on fire?" — *long tired sigh* "Them." *points at Abby/Serenity/Harry/Slye all tied up being yelled at by Max* — " . . . ah."
Everyone has to run laps after that
The UN hired him when he was younger for one of their tech departments, so when Sam and Inkling needed someone to work ship controls Cardi was the first man on the job
He was the second to leave the crew after Sam's death, unfortunately he never really had time to mourn right after as he was immediately on a new assignment for the government
(Harry would have made him the third “crewmate” to leave but to the public he was the second)
Over the years he's had time to process but it was pretty hard, and for the first few years after, he only really had his wife to talk to about his feelings/trauma
Trench and Serenity were the only ones able to really keep in contact with him since they still worked for the A.S.A. and they were the only ones who he confided in about what S.P.Y.D.E.R. actually did
It helped to have someone besides his family to confide in
Cardi also kept in contact with Prof. Kelp and Prof. Inkling seeing as they had such a long history
He would eventually become one of the top dogs when he became Director, basically having the same (if not more) power than Prof. Kelp/Inkling when it came to international decisions
He's a lot better now, he has a new team (family) to look after and he uses what Sam taught him to become the best leader he can be
And in this world . . . that kind of wisdom can save lives . . .
