Oooof. I haven’t posted here in ages. I fell badly behind but I’m catching up on individual stories.

I went on vacation for two weeks, then brought COVID back with me and was sick with that for a week, along with giving it to my wife and kid. So that happened.

Our 20th anniversary came and went while we were lying on our backs feeling like crap. Not thrilled about that part. We’re resolved to throw a party but we have to get back on it now that our energy is returning.

I definitely have a big inspiration problem at the moment, kind of with everything, not just Sims. Trying to find where my enthusiasm for a lot of stuff went.

I did finish a fanedit of The Two Towers that changes the behavior of the Ents to line up with the book. Not a book-faithful cut, just imagining Peter Jackson had made a few different decisions. I’m pretty proud of it, actually -- Fellowship and Return are close to perfect cinema, but I think there was room to improve on Towers. I’ll probably make a post on this tumblr with info and a link because I use it as a place to link to my editing projects rather than coming up with a dedicated blog someplace. So if there’s any overlap between this community and Tolkien/fanediting fandoms, you’ll be able to take a look :).

Sometimes tips people give are true. I’ve been having a bad week , at least mentally. I call it a “blah” period where I don’t really feel or think anything. I just…sort of truge though everything and don’t do the things I want because I’ll “do it in a minute” then don’t and go to bed.

Anyways last night I basically cleaned out my entire room and organized. Took a shower and it worked???? What

Friday Blahs

Felt a little off last night - chalked it up to an intense Pilates class after a gut-bomb for lunch. (Chili rellenos, rice & beans. Mmm, mmmm.)

Decided to give into my cake craving and took myself to a favorite bakery/cafe for a treat. They didn’t have anything that I really *wanted* but damn it, I wanted cake so I settled. Alas, as always, I didn’t enjoy it and I just made myself slightly ill.

Grocery shopped as we have plans tomorrow and I avoid shopping on Sundays as much as possible.

Am reading “Wandering Stars” and am not loving it as much as “There, There.”

Feel blah. Took tylenol. Want to nap but it’s far too late in the day for that.

Read an article about the increase of women having elective breast reductions. Not because of illness or gender reassignment but because smaller breasts are the new “in” thing? Look, do what you want with and to your body if it makes you happy but it was so disturbing to read about women enduring these major surgeries and infections and scars - some who could barely afford them - just for “yoga boobs,” whatever the hell that means. Another reminder of how we are constantly told that our bodies are wrong. I dunno, it bummed me out.

for the billionth time nah get my ass tf up out of florida . focus no more attachments geesh , cause like the hold back on random situations & of folks not as invested as i am to get out & stay on a whole hold me back type of thing .. im over that 🕊️✨
