I never really had a thing for Elliot. Jameson absolutely, and obviously Tristan (I don’t play favorites, but Tristan has a little bit more of my heart). I always wanted more Jameson & Tristan. but never Elliot...Even going into this, I’m not sure I started reading this for any other reason than more Jameson & Tristan. But then, I fell in love. The unexpected, fall flat on your face kind of love. You know when Anastasia fell into Christian Grey’s office? Yeah, I tumbled like that. I’m not used to one of the Miles brothers letting someone walk all over them. That’s what Kathryn was doing. But, then I realized Elliot wasn’t letting her walk all over him, he was just in more control than Jameson and Tristan. In control of his self control. Until of course emotions were flipped and that control was gone! And then he truly became the Miles I have come to love. Possessive, protective, bossy, obsessed. Elliot very quickly scooped up Kate and let his heart explode. Their banter deserves awards, plaques hung in museums. For a long time...I loved their secret identities more than them. Not that that’s surprising! If Elliot made me an offer, I’d take the offer without thought, and then wash the silver platter he handed it to me on. My favorite version of Elliot? Farmer Elliot. But New York Elliot comes in a close second. And by the end, after Elliot has become the man Kate deserves, Elliot became my favorite Miles brother. I bursted into tears when Elliot discovered the truth about his artist. Not sure my heart will ever heal from that pain. But the epilogue brought me so much comfort. It was more of a tie in with the families than focusing on their happily ever after.

You had the Lanoix good looks and a silver tongue that let every word drip in charm. The high-class life was one you and your twin sister knew well, with both of you heirs to a grand fortune. When you first realized how much work could get done with charming smiles and an illusion, you were sold on orchestrating the perfect public persona. You were the star athlete, the most eligible bachelor in the city, a philanthropist and patron of the arts. In true Lanoix fashion, you became an elected curator at the Field Museum which was a big win for your family, though it was evident to the society that someone like was meant to lead... at least the version of you they saw. Precious things were replaced with identical replicas, with you feeding the real thing into the black markets that made your family rich. The only opposition you’re finding in the world is the Kovali’s, who’ve been trying to block your shipments. Little did they know that crossing a man like you would be their end...

♛WHEN DEATH COMES♛

The Socialite: There aren’t many people that you trust in this world completely, no one who really knows you as who you: manipulative, soulless, a nightmare. Your sister is your other half, without her you would be alone. You know that she’s a strong woman, that she can take care of herself... but when she tied herself to that disgusting senator you felt you had to intervene. Family knew best. You went on to properly break her heart, though you believe that time will heal all wounds. It’s a secret that you’ve been keeping from her, which is a first in your relationship. 

The Senator: You knew that he wasn’t right for your sister. It was obvious from the moment you laid eyes on him. While you played your part so well as the supportive future in-law, a plan was formulating in the back of your mind. Why not send someone to encourage him into old habits? And even better, get your sister to find out and leave him? So you placed a woman in his lap, and an obvious note on his desk- a powder keg waiting to blow. Once he found himself in the hands of the law, you bailed him out for your own purposes. Now you’ve got your sister back, and a hand in the government. Not a bad deal. 

The Hot Shot: They won’t acknowledge their past, a place where you remember them vividly. You ran in the same circles, both your family’s owning rival businesses. The difference between you, though, was that one side won. The Lanoix all but obliterated the Hot Shot’s world in one night, leaving him alone to live in the ashes of a former life. You’re not surprised to see him turn into something a hurricane, especially towards you when your the image of what he could’ve been. The hatred that exists between you two is deep and personal, and surely will be the death of either you or him. 

The Paradox: The traitor’s girl was quite a pretty one. Although you had your share of models to choose from, especially with the image you put on. It didn’t take a lot to use your connections to discover just how much trouble that girl was in: a debt, left to die, addiction to white powder. It wasn’t to say that you were a sadist, no... simply someone who saw a grand ole business opportunity. When you gave her your knowledge, her list of mistakes, she was tied to you by force. Her biggest act under your agenda was incriminating the senator... and she really played her part beautifully.
