im watching fashion history videos and thinking about aziraphale because apparently tartan was VERY stylish in england in 1842. and he says he’s had his coat for over 180 years, which means it’s from the 1830s. and his whole outfit reads vaguely 1840s (although his shirt collar looks more modern? and i’m not entirely convinced about the historical accuracy of the coat). so like... the tartan bow tie IS stylish, if you think about it
