Fun little experience today. My phone is a pixel 6a, which apparently had a battery melting problem. Luckily google was providing free battery replacements, meaning I have a brand new battery and can go many more years without buying a new phone. But that's not the point of the story.
To get a free battery replacement I had to go to one of their authorized repair shops, conveniently located in a neighborhood I had never been in. So I go to the shop (thank you robust public transit system), hand over my phone, and am told to come for it in about an hour. That's not quite long enough go anywhere interesting on our public transit system so I figured I'd kill some time exploring the neighborhood. Without the GPS available on my phone. Like it's the 90s or something. Fortunately I am old, so this was very doable for me. Still not the point of the story.
As I walked around I realized this was one of those neighborhoods without a lot of bathroom options. There were a couple of coffee shops, an organic market with a deli, a combo Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins. None had seating, bathrooms were for customers only. I did, eventually, come across a "free" public toilet. To use it you needed to scan a QR code with your phone and register at their website so the electronic lock would open.
That is the point of the story.

"David Choe has protected himself using copyright laws to his favor following backlash over resurfaced audios where he admitted to “rapey behavior.”
The audio from the now-defunct podcast DVDASA from a 2014 episode were recirculated given that Choe stars in Netflix’s Beef. In the clips shared on Twitter, Choe makes some serious statements retelling a story where he forced a masseuse into performing oral sex on the actor..."
Boy, Netflix sure can pick 'em!
Wait. I know Netflix Bridgerton trolls were trolling Benedict months ago. Were those Chris Evans blogs making Wanda spam for days coming from them, too, to block this story?
Respectability in a war zone is an impossibility and a quick way to die.
The U.S. is a war zone for a large percentage of its populace.
Stop asking people to die quietly so you don’t have to deal with reality.
Don’t be selfish. You wouldn’t want those millionaires and billionaires to suffer from high tax rates.

House GOP Votes to Gut Medicaid, Weaken Medicare & Put Seniors' healthcare at Risk.
The bill contains several other poison pills for older Americans. It replaces Obamacare subsidies with meager tax credits which discriminate against older Americans. A $4,000 annual tax credit doesn’t come to close to covering premiums for seniors ages 60-64, meaning millions of older Americans will lose coverage altogether.
The bill cuts nearly $1 trillion from Medicaid by converting it into a block grant program or imposing per capita caps, which will make it harder for impoverished seniors to access long term skilled nursing care and community or home care. Overall, the Congressional Budget Office estimates that 14 million people will be kicked off the Medicaid rolls in the next 10 years if this bill becomes law.
