The Factions

The Rebellion

Led By: Angella In-Game Counterpart: NCR

The Rebellion tries to regulate the Wastes and keep some kind of order, although they've been lacking in any real success for years due to being stretched too thin. Towns under the Rebellion's command are often left to fend for themselves. This is in part due to Angella's reluctance to fight following the loss of her husband. Her daughter has recently started trying very hard to pick up slack

The Horde

Led By: Hordak In-Game Counterpart: The Legion/The Great Khans

Often described as an "overly ambitious raider group", the Horde is still effective in what it does, causing fear and taking over towns, driving out the Rebellion influence. Hordak leads it surprisingly well (more competent than canon Hordak), and his rule is unchallenged.

The Strip

Led By: Horde Prime In-Game Counterpart: House/The Strip

Formerly known as Bright Moon, the Strip emerged as a haven of sorts following The Great War, led by the mysterious Horde Prime, who's kept an iron fist on it for 200 years (during which time no one has seen him). The Strip is exclusive and very selective about who it lets in, with guards shooting down any Undesirables who try to get in. Couriers get free passes in there for delivery purposes .

Legacies: the factions

Ok so the further along in the season we get the more obvious how important the factions are to school. And it is not the students who created these factions but Alaric. For the most part everyone seems to hang out with everyone else. More or less. But there are these school events that divide everyone up into factions. The student council made sense but the talent show doesn't.

Why are they divided up into the factions for that? Just have everyone who wants to do a talent do their own thing. What if your talent doesn't work for the group. You just have to go with the flow.

Also Hope mentions that she has wanted to do the talent show in the past but not by herself and since she is her own faction she doesn't participate.

Except in the Originals we learn that for 8 years Hope went by the name Hope Marshel and hide the fact she was a tribrid. So she would have been apart of the witch faction. Meaning for eight years she got to do group activities with the witches like the talent show, but then when she revealed she is a tribrid she couldn't anymore.

Did any of the witches try to include her after? I know she was a loner but did anyone try? Did the wolves? Hope is a wolf, hell she is a real alpha. Did the vampires? Hope is a vampire born from an original.

In conclusion I think the school focuses a little to much on the factions. And while Hope choose to be a loner the fact that she wasn't apart of a faction didn't help.
