Am I misinterpreting or has the latest episode confirmed that Boba Fett is Mandalorian, and that Alec was talking nonsense?

It has officially canonized the Fetts as Mandalorians! The concept of foundlings must’ve been fuzzy before we got it with Din. Now it makes sense!
