OTP: the lightning and the rod ⚡️
So O/icity insert themselves uninvited into WestAllen’s wedding, then get them a gift that wasn’t even on the registry…
Lawd, they continue to be tacky af. Anyway, I hope that and Iris’s bitterness were digs from the Flash writers for having that garbage couple shoved onto WestAllen’s highly anticipated moment that they’ve been writing towards for 3 and a half years.
Ok I don’t know when Iris became the official team leader of Team Flash, but I’m here for it.
just pointing out that gift registries are, by definition, tacky AF. while they might be "okay" at weddings, it's acceptable to purchase off the registry. a gift is what someone wants to give you, not what you tell them they can buy for you. I wish the Flash writers hadn't put that line in there because it's ridiculous.
Are you really out here trying to paint gift registries as “tacky” because you didn’t like a line of dialogue? Lord, ok… Weddings and baby showers are events where the gift recipients are in need of a specific set of things. For newlyweds, these things are traditionally needed to start their new life as a new family, sometimes living in a new home. The purpose of registries is 1) to acquire all these things, and 2) to not get multiples of the same thing. To randomly not use a registry, no matter how nice the thought of getting a gift, is to risk getting the recipient something they don’t need or want, or to get them something somebody else already did. And going by Iris’s reaction to O/icity’s gift, it was neither needed nor wanted (just like O/icity’s intrusion on her wedding, so what a perfect metaphor). That was a gifting fail on their part.
I was getting worried the Flash writers were gonna lame out on us and have Caitlin take the cure, go back to normal, and that’d be that. But she subdued her death-murder-villainess side, and still kept her ice powers, to continue on in all her comic canon glory. GOOD.
What's in it for her? Then Cisco recalls a story about Ronnie? And she gets all in her emotions as he tells it? Am...I...getting...teased...with...SnowStorm...feels??
No they did not give SnowStorm a what-was-supposed-to-be BABY! 😭😭😭💔
The whole time Caitlin was flatlining I was just sitting here like, Take. The damn. Necklace. Off. You idiots. 🙄
