id love to live in a little cottagecore granola van and drive around the woods and the coasts and pretty places as i make my earrings and play my handpainted ukulele but i hate driving and i am way too much of a but i might need this person to ever live in such a small space

Our fascination with the forest is reflected in a long tradition of art, poetry, and literature. Here is a part of that tradition, a unique collection of words and images that evoke the richness, the tranquility, and the primeval wonders of the Earth’s deep forests.

My mom isn’t feeling well enough to read right now, so I picked up this book from our shelf and read it aloud to her. It is filled with beautiful pictures, art, and quotes from poetry and an array of authors. I would’ve rated it higher, though, if the format had been easier to read on some of the pages.

like im from pittsburgh, thats Barely considered Appalachia, but you can still feel the difference. you still know what its like to go hiking, get lost in the woods, and be reminded by the massive trees that surround you that they’ve been there longer than you ever will be and they do not care about you
