The event supported medical and educational programs in Nigeria, including the David Oyelowo Leadership Scholarship for Girls, which provides scholarships for girls impacted by acts of terrorism. The GEANCO Foundation honored humanitarian and Oscar-nominee Benedict Cumberbatch for his passionate advocacy on behalf of vulnerable women and children around the world.
