Who are your top 5 video girl game characters and why? XD (random and I probably know some of them already bahha)

1. Merrill (Dragon Age 2)
Why? She struggled with her drama almost by herself, she lost two childhood friends(Tamlen and Daelish Warden) because of a corrupted Eluvian/Mirror, she sacrificed everything, not only for bringing up a big part of her race’s culture but if I think she also did it because she thought that restoring that Eluvian could have brought Tamlen and Warden back…we don’t know how much she was close to Tamlen and Warden, but if she feels so bad about them in DA2 I guess they were the only ones who were not jerks to her. So basically she did some crap(like dealing with demons) but I don’t blame her at all, she struggled, she became an outcast inside her community and then exiled and had to struggle to learn to live in Kirkwall. (May the Maker bless Varric and Isabela for basically co-parenting her while Bethany was basically her step-sister)
2. Yennefer of Vengerberg (The Witcher)
Why? Mother, Wife and Woman, she does quite some stuff and some bitch moves in the books but in the end, she was an independent strong woman that even when she struggled(and fight almost everyone she knew) she never gave up parts of her personality(she remained a devoted wife and a caring mother but still remained an independent woman). In the books, we arrive at the point where an Emperor, admits that Yennefer(along with Geralt) is actually the real family of Ciri(and Ciri is actually the Emperor’s biological daughter).
3. Jack (Mass Effect 2 and 3)
Why? Her background is fuck up, it’s a bloody mess of traumas and horrible things happened to her, she is not an angel like Tali or Liara but even without the romance with Shepard after dealing with her traumatic childhood of guinea pig for Cerberus, she grows up, she became a teacher for a school of young biotics people, she finds her place in the universe, surrounded by people happy to see her, she deserves respect.
Why? Another poor girl with a fucked-up childhood, she is the sister of Tohsaka Rin, adopted by the Matous, and she dealt with horrible gruesome stuff during Fate/Zero and probably during the StayNight/UnlimitedBladeWorks/Heaven Feel(not exactly stuff for under18…the manga/anime is way softer about her past and traumas…but the visual novel…is so nightmare-ish that she suffers from a second yandere personality known as “Dark/Obscure Sakura” who actually tries to kill even the main protagonist/love interest) I respect her even though in a few routes(like hollow ataraxia) where she is actually super evil(enough to scare his step-brother Shinji and his step-grandfather Zouken that is an evil dark mage and he is like 500 years old), but the canon route shows her live happily ever after…but still, she earned my respect for being still a healthy sane person after all the scary, traumatic things she had to deal with.
5. The Handler (Monster Hunter World)
Why? Cute, Smart, Funny and Kind, she is the perfect partner for a Monster-Hunter like MC. “The Handler is an enthusiastic, inquisitive and reckless young woman. She tends to rush forward whenever she spots something of interest, regardless of whatever dangers may be present. While this frequently places herself and The Hunter in great danger, it also makes her an invaluable information gatherer and adept problem solver. She cares deeply about her friends and is quite distraught when they come to harm.“ (i quoted the game directly, it’s faster, she is down to earth in my opinion, and I adore her).
It supposed to be a top 5 of favourite videogame girls…and I wrote a top 5 of videogame girls I respect XD
The Handler: Explaining how she was out foraging in the canopy of the Ancient Forest and ended up being chased by a monster, but she was able to get away from it because the monster slipped on a ledge and fell through the canopy.

Sapphire Star: Telling the story of how they went out into the Ancient Forest in search of the handler. Only for a monster to fall from the sky and land right next to them. Explains how if they had been just a couple more inches to the right said monster would have squashed them.

The other hunters and handlers listening in to both stories wondering how the two of them are still alive and how they became top dog despite constantly getting jumped by monster and having a near death experience everyday.
