June 2
A bee colony settled into the skep I'd placed near the wild hive, I was able to move it back to my home and I hope they populate the other skeps in the aviary I made. A few more crops have grown to harvest, and I finally had the first grain harvest.
With all of my animals well fed and troughs full, I've set off on the journey to the Lazaret.
Traveling across the deserts, the cave entrance I found opens into the Lazaret. A skeleton with heavy wounds greets me as I enter, there are plenty of creatures inside. They all seem sad and cold.
So, I thought a bit about what is possibly the darkest part of all the Arcana lore, barring some of the reversed endings.
So, we all (or at least all of us who have played/read about how MC died, and yes I am going to spoil you the fuck out) know that after MC died from the plague, they were cremated in the Lazaret and buried there. Then, an undetermined amount of time later, possibly up to months, Asra comes back home and finds their remains (charred bone and ash) in the Lazaret.
Do we know if MCs remains still exist, or if they just disintegrated by themselves when they were reborn? Did Asra need the bones for the ritual, were they consumed in it? And, if not... Here comes the spookiest part. Where... Are the bones? With Asra? Still in the Lazaret, buried where he found them? Maybe Valdemar got a hold of them for whatever, wouldn't be surprised if that happened.
But what I honestly drift to... Is that Asra kept them. I know it sounds very morbid, but that's exactly my plan weirdly fitting.
He couldn't leave the bones in the Lazaret beach, free for the waves to take MCs remains away to be forgotten somewhere in the ocean. Nor, of course, could he discard them in any way. That would be unthinkable. So what he did was keep them safe. Somewhere where they could never find it while they were amnesiac, probably in his personal realm.
Maybe, after everything was said and done... After they had regained their memories, after they were already safe, alive and the Devil was defeated, it would change. Maybe they'd know about it, or maybe he'd just quietly take the bones and bury them somewhere safe, unmarked or with a nameless marking only he'd know. Let that body rest, because they were back for sure.
🌙 The Arcana: a pre-plague tale 🌙 It took me an eternity, but here we are! This is a personal interpretation of the life of mine MC before the Red Plague and the beginning of the game. I hope you like it!

If I die I hope my ghost looks like this
It might just be me, but I fucking love how the Lazaret looks
I wish we got to see more
departure,,
I don’t know if this is really coherent but uhh it goes from top left -> right -> bottom left ->right
anywho, comic about asra angst for arkius,, this took me longer than I wanted because of backgroundS but also not as clean bc it was just a sketch TvT,,
Past Arkius was secretive at his best, and a liar at his worst... he was driven by his ambition and curiosity and refused to rely on anyone; perhaps too confident in his own abilities. Being 4 years older, Arkius’ hubris stopped him from considering Asra’s suggestion to leave Vesuvia... especially since Arkius discovered things about the city...
