(Bioshock infinite) Rosalind Lutece x F!reader
The clock on the wall read close to midnight, far later than Rosalind agreed to be in bed. You rubbed your eyes tiredly as you slowly descended the stairs to where Rosalind would be tinkering on calculations or what’s-its downstairs. You quickly came to the conclusion that you would have to drag Rosalind to bed yourself.
Hunched over a desk, eyes bleary with sleep and hair frayed in every direction, Rosalind was working on her research papers. You halt to stop right behind the stressed woman, hands on hips.
“Rose, I thought I told you to come to bed ages ago, it’s nearly midnight,” You chided softly, not actually mad.
Rosalind blinked, one eye at a time, clearly exhausted. “Wha…? oh…Yes, Darling…But the deadline is only a few weeks away…” She practically whined, exhaustion and stress rolled into one messy emotion.
You frown in reply, hand on hip. It was always upsetting to see Rosalind work herself to the bone for her newest research project. You stepped forward, leaning forward until your hands met her weary shoulders. “Honey, darling…it’s too late for you to still be working on…” You pause to pick up some of the research papers, “Alternate dimensions.” You shake your head dismissive, given the time. “C’mon, time for bed.”
Rosalind, Rose for you, attempted to protest half-heartedly. “But darling, the deadline--”
You quickly cut her off, “Uh-uh, it’s bedtime. The research can wait until tomorrow.” You scolded her gently, grabbing her hand and dragging her into the large bed you shared. You fuss over her, letting her hair down from that tight bun, running your hands through it carefully as you get her to settle down into the bed.
Rosalind whined sleepily as she flopped ungracefully into the pillows. You could only smile at her pitiful state as you covered her in a blanket, pressing a kiss to the side of her face as you admired her in a relaxed state instead of the usual stoic side she would grace everyone else with.
“You can continue your research about tomorrow, there’s always tomorrow.”
