“Have you come to help?” Din asked, cooing as the animal bobbed his head. “Thank you, friend. We all appreciate you.”

“Wow,” Luke breathed, stepping in beside Din to look over the bow of the ship. The dolphin barked a greeting and Luke looked up at Din. “What did he say?”

“I can’t understand him in words,” Din explained, his hand running along the exposed fin as the dolphin started to move away. “But that was a noise of greeting.”

“Wow,” Luke said again, placing both hands on the edge of the ship. “I was just greeted by a dolphin.”
