DEADZONE DEADZONE DEADZONE

so a lot happened today and I wanna talk more about it :D [spoilers for deadzone lore “run rabbit” 6/1]

so I put together a LOT of art for this stream— i got a whole week to work on it and went HAM! warning for a lot of gore!!

RIP Ryker’s left arm :D

so ryker got shot point blank with a shotgun to his shoulder— the INITIAL wound knocked out a lot of tissue and cracked his humerus bone! the wound gets to fester for a whole week, getting infected and all the blood loss causing all kinds of problems in the rest of his arm—

he then has his call with the mayor and basically get the all clear to do whatever it takes to get out. and he knows exactly what that means. his original plan is to dislocate both his thumbs and squeeze out of the handcuffs, but the left arm is too numb to get any pressure— so he rips!

this is mostly possible due to the bone already being cracked, once the bone breaks it’s just pulling the rest and baring the pain. luckily, ryker is freaking crazy and can handle that— arm comes off! and he still dislocated his other hand even though he doesn’t need to cause he’s a lil loopy in the moment, but the handcuffs come off!

grabs a the literal bedsheet off the bed and climbs up with one hand to break the obsidian with his BARE HAND.

time skip! ryker gets back with the mayor! the arm is actively bleeding out and he is going to die— so the mayor kills him! and minecraft logic causes the wound to fully close and scar over! now he’s not in danger but the arm is definitely gone!! :D

also the song used in the cutscene itself is called “lockdown” from the game The Escapists! i think it’s neat—

i have many many more thoughts about rykers mental state in this stream but I specifically wanted to drop my canon gore thoughts! :D

been having a lot of fun audio mixing music for cmvs lately--

no idea why it took me so long to realize that i could shorten/extend/mix around songs to get the perfect length i want them for the project--

newest example is the lil bounty hunter short i just finished- it grabs audio from 3 completely different parts of the song that i like the most and also overlays it so it sounds like both voices are singing at the end :))

local guy is really enjoying editing lately <3

What's your favorite book?

The Gone Series! By Micheal Grant

it is WEIRD and sounds crazy when you describe it- but it is SO GOOD

it’s in the dystopian YA genre with the premise being a BIG DOME popping up and everyone over the age of 15 disappearing from the inside— it’s got the apocalyptic power struggle, but then the kids also start getting superpowers and it’s SICK

a whole bunch of other crazy stuff too but it’s got some really interesting characters/motivations and a lot of diversity too!

DIVINE’S CAMPAIGN IS ENDING TOMORROW!!

it’s true, it’s true, the dnd campaign i’ve been in for nearly FOUR YEARS is ending finally with a 12 hour session tomorrow, which is wild—

to celebrate/mourn, im gonna be posting some art over these next couple days i’ve made for this last stretch, starting with miss girl above :,,) my little pink tiefling has come so far, im so proud of where she’s ending <33
