His adam’s apple bobbed as her slender fingers held his jaw in an almost bruising grip. Part of him felt mortified for getting excited from this alone- was he some kind of masochist? His heart was throbbing in his ears- along with something else…

Gladion had completely forgotten what he was going to say. Something snappy maybe? something witty to make her laugh and not be angry with him?

Oh but it was far too late for that for as she glowered down at him his brain only seemed to be able to say one thing

“You’re hot when you’re mad.”

Oh did he just say that out loud?

Hermione completely forgot what she was going to say to him when he spoke; a blush rose to her cheeks as she continued to look at him. Her grip lessening slightly but she didn’t remove her hand.

What should she say back to him? She had been angry with him, he hadn’t been listening to her, and then he went and said something stupid. Now all she could think about was him thinking she was attractive, did he truly mean that? Did he find her attractive?

“Just because you are complimenting me doesn’t keep you from having been wrong... But now you have to answer my question. Do you truly find me attractive?” She bit her lip after she asked.

Alice had been trying to get to her meeting, and had not expected to be bumped into, at the top of the stairs. After a few seconds of trying to catch her breath she looked up at the man who had bumped into her, he looked frazzled, and like he needed to be somewhere just as badly as she did. She took his hand gratefully and stood up, before she picked her things up from the ground.

Hestia looked at her youngest brother as he prepared for the battle, Hestia had stayed away from much of it, preparing more to protect and to heal any of the gods they could. She was not one for fighting but she would protect her family and that included her younger brother. “I don’t need sleep brother, protecting you and our siblings is my duty.” She shook her head and took his hand in hers. “I need to make my preparations, I will fight with you if I need to.”

The only reason she knew he was in anyway not dead or severely injured was that no one had come knocking on her door. Usually he would try to contact her, usually she would have some word, and three days was a long time to wait. So when she walked into the station to see Bellamy with a drink in his hand, she pursed her lips.

She crossed her arms as she waited for everyone to leave, the last shut the door on his way out. “Do not hey princess me.” She knew this job was important to him, but he could have called, once it was safe to do so, and it obviously was as he was already drinking. “A drink was more important than letting me know you were safe?”

Hermione had gotten a report from St. Mungos that Draco had not been into work in a couple of days. It was unusual for him, the hospital and she both knew that he loved his work, and for him to miss it was strange. So she began to put out feelers, asking the other aurors if they would look for him, but it was not until that night that she had her first solid lead.

A group of wizards and witches who still followed Voldemort’s creed, people they had failed to catch. “Shit,” Hermione said as she apparated with a group of wizards to the house they were in, only a couple were able to escape the spells aimed at them, and when they were taken care of Hermione began to rush through the house, trying to find Draco. Hoping that he would still be alive.

“Merlin,” she said as she rushed over to him, falling on her knees as she pressed her fingers to his pulse, glad when she felt it and even more so when he spoke. “Shhh, Draco, you don’t need to talk, it’s real, I’m here.” She cradled his head for a moment before pulling out her bag, immediately a magical stretcher was out, some water, and some painkillers. She took the best care of him that she could before she apparated him to the hospital where he worked.

She rolled her eyes just slightly at how he seemed to actually be a bit gleeful that they might get snowed in. “And just how do you suppose we occupy ourselves? We have food and drinks, yes. But, we’ve also never spent this much time together, don’t you think we’ll tire of being around each other?” She had done this with Harry and Ron, been together for months, but they had spent time together before then, most of their time in fact.
