Oh my god I get it now. Powder trying to play the hero, to be like Vi, when the rest wanted to protect her. Isha doing the same, wanting to be just like Jinx. Running out infront of the crowd. And Jinx. Ohohoho Jinx. Jinx had to watch everything she did wrong play out in front of her. To someone she loved. All because that person loved her back, wanted to be just like her. Oh my fucking god. I’m an idiot.

George Martin responding to a question about how good the Beatles were at playing instruments:

Goldmine: Can you assess the instrumental talents of The Beatles?

George Martin: Paul’s the most talented instrumentally in that he could play very good guitar. He was probably the best guitar player in the group. Of course he played bass guitar, he could tackle almost anything. He played very good drums too. His bass playing is wonderful. He was irritatingly good to other people. Sometimes he would put up the backs of the other guys ‘cause he would get on the drums and tell Ringo what to do and Ringo would get a bit irked by it. John was good but he was careless. John was a gut man and if it happened it happened and if it didn’t he would fling the guitar across the room and say ‘get me a better one.’ John hated tuning his guitar, for example, such a mundane thing. He would get good sounds, good ideas. Some of his riff ideas were terrific. George was the painstaking one. He would be brilliant after forty-five years. He would assemble his work. I used to think he used to assemble his recordings like a guy in Turkey making a carpet. He would work away in every room and every little inch would be detailed and beautiful. But it would take time and he would overdub and he’d track and correct and so on. He’s a very good guitar player, of course

My favorite break-up song ever and it's not even about a romantic relationship, Starry Eyes details the original recorders The Records issues with their former manager who fucked off to France for a two-week vacation while they were fighting for their lives with their company to be released from their contract. Don't let the jaunty music fool you; these lyrics sound pissed and they have every right to let the hate flow. Also, nice pool in the video.
