I’d like to take a moment to thank my followers and mutuals for bringing me so many smiles and moments of happiness. You’ve been there to encourage, to support, to cheer. I hope I’ve been able to do the same in return.
It’s occurred to me that life is kind of like a roller coaster ride. From the moment you get in line, and then step into that car, you are locked in until the ride comes to an end. There are those moments of anticipation as you rise, moments where you soar, moments of excitement and fear. Lulls where you think it’s calm and the worst is behind you, that it will be a smooth run going forward: then the train plummets into a free fall and rises up again.
If you’re lucky, the ride is long and you get your money’s worth. Sometimes the ride is unexpectedly short. That’s the problem with rides, you never know what the duration will be, so you just have to try to enjoy every moment you can.
Some people’s coasters are the fairly simple up and down kind. For others it’s the type that spins you upside down and has many loops. For many, there are the types that have scary dark tunnels to go through before you come out into the light again.
Whatever style your coaster is, try to embrace the ride. Embrace those moments of fear and know that they can quickly become exhilarating. They will help you feel alive. They are all necessary to have a ride worth taking.
