Today it's Permission to Come Aboard, Admiral which I wrote just days after Tales of the Empire was released. Because Marrow was in the trailer with Barriss, and the other main character was Morgan Esbeth, I was hoping they would break format and have the two stories merge as to explain why Morgan has an Inquisitor minion. Which would mean Thrawn would somehow take both Morgan and Barriss under his wing. And the most logical thing to do would be for him to put Barriss in a crate and ship her off to the Chiss Ascendancy to fix the ozyly-esehembo aging-out problem. Which would be an excuse for a spicy Bar'alani one-shot.
I don't often ship Barriss with someone other than Ahsoka, but when I do it becomes the rarest of rare pairs.
