Regret not getting a photo of the sketch
Finally got some sketchy designs down for The Stormfly and Horrorcow that I'm happy with. Now to digitize them and settle on their colours. I have an idea for The Stormfly, but trying to find an appealing brown palate is always difficult.
Pro tip: the already perfect How to Train Your Dragon books somehow get 5% BETTER when you read the Stormfly in the voice of Blanche from The Golden Girls.

What ever happened to the superhero!au you were planning? I just stumbled upon it and it's brilliant!
I’m assuming you’re talking about The Stormfly which is somewhere and I think if you search superhero au or the stormfly on my blog it comes up, and what happened with that is unfortunately what happens with a lot of ideas: I just lost interest.
In this case it’s because I started a lot of other things and also a bunch of other people at the time had superhero aus and there’s that whole fear of accidental plagiarism occurring through writing the same thing as other people around you. And the lamest reason is that I sort of knew where it was going and that it was nowhere new at the same time as being really labor intensive and sometimes that can sour an idea in a writers’ head and it sucks for everyone invested and mostly the writer and maybe someday it’ll seem like a good idea I want to dive into again, but I’m also not going to promise it, because odds are against that, given how many au’s I have closer to done that I’d want to finish more, and I really don’t have as much time as I used to.
But thank you so much for the praise, I’m so happy you enjoyed it, I know I really enjoyed writing the 3 chapters that I wrote and I actually do like the kind of open ended place they ended up, even if it’s not what I was hoping for.
