Ian M Bailey is an English musician who has released 3 albums on New Jersey based label Kool Kat Musik. I remember perusing this label months ago, but I can't remember what music I was listening to. Bailey's music has brought me back.
Kool Kat and Bailey do not have a Bandcamp presence, so the free digitial compilation download "Sounds of the Northwest" serve as our in. "Dangerous Clowns" is Bailey's song that kicks off the compilation but The Swells "Cold Wind Sigh" is pretty outstanding too.
Bailey sound recalls Tom Petty, Teenage Fanclub and The Capitol Years.
Kool Kat also has a BBC session from Honeybus. Holy Hive covered their song "Be Thou By My Side" and Gorky's Zygotic Mynci covered "Fresher Than The Sweetness in Water."
