The entire kingdom of Pugmire itself! And the Monarchies of Mau.
I like the default setting, most of the time, but I find the inherent speciesism built in to the main setting a little jarring. I followed one of the default adventures the first time I ran a game and one of my players was a lizard so had a hard time going through Pugmire and I had a hard time playing the prejudices of the dogs.
So I threw it out and created my own continent, Naia. As a place where such speciesism and focus on bloodlines wasn’t so much of a thing. It isn’t to say there is no conflict on Naia, but the inherent speciesism of the other settings doesn’t exist in the same way as it does in the default setting.
Uplifted from outside of Naia are still affected by those divisions and can bring that baggage when they first come to Naia, and obviously there are diplomats and travelers from other lands who still stand by those things, but it isn’t a part of the dominant culture here.
Part of the inspiration for this was in fact that lizard player from the last campaign. Paxignus Dragonchilde's lifelong hope and dream was to build a world where all Uplifted could live together in harmony. I let him achieve that goal by being one of the founders of Naia.
