Daniel Wesley as Jimmy "The Gambler" Gambino, The Torso
Thirteen Ghosts (2001), dir. Steve Beck
What kinda music do you think the ghosts would have liked? I think it's interesting since they're all from different points in history. I also wonder if some of the older ghosts would end up liking some modern music as well.
Billy: doesn’t care much for music but he recognizes the jingles of the shows he likes. He likes modern music better.
Jimmy: he’s a product of his time. Likes ragtime/jazzy stuff. Instrumental is his favourite because it helps him concentrate.
Susan: whatever girly pop songs were popular in the 80s. She would still like the same kind of stuff from now.
Jean: she likes whatever, except vulgar rap. She prays Bobby never gets into that (but he totally does)
Royce: he loves 40s-50s songs. Can you blame him? They’re classic! He’d be a little uptight about giving modern music a chance, but he’d secretly like it. Eventually he’d gaslight you and pretend he always said he liked it.
Dana: likes music but has little opinion. Music hasn’t changed much in her time.
Isabella: and they accused HER of witchcraft? What is this disembodied audio!?
Margaret: she likes music, but only soft stuff. It doesn’t matter from when.
Harold: he liked 1800s music but since discovering kids bop he is just DELIGHTED by it. It can pull him out of even the nastiest of moods.
George: he’s chill with anything, really. He likes modern music better though.
Ryan: really insists on songs sang and/or played in real time over those audio machines. He finds the staticky noise of cylinders and records eerie as heck, and remains wary of their modern counterparts.
Horace: whatever’s on he’ll listen to (with only the occasional exception).
to all the thirteen ghosts fans out there...
i may have watched the 2001 movie and now want to start writing for the sillies...
so now i guess requests are open! for headcanons, opinions, scenarios... anything <3
Even questions!
All the ghosts are ok! Just them tho, not the other characters!
"I cannot trust in people who have arms and legs."
I’ve been gone for a bit between Halloween and working, I haven’t really had time to write anything. But I’m pleasantly surprised to have gotten at least some attention on my last fic.
It really does mean so much to me. I will be doing to a part 2 of that regardless of attention to it because I love that movie very very much.
Although I was wondering, since the fandom is small enough and they never did make the movies for all the characters before getting captured/dying, would anyone be interested if I wrote that? It’s not exactly an x reader fic, I know but I love the characters and they deserve the recognition they never received.
I want to show more depth to the characters and hopefully gain more attention for the movie.
Would anyone like that? PLEASE let me know
Who else wants to bet that in order to catch Jimmy, Cyrus and Dennis just launched his head into the containment cube like a volleyball and waited for him to go in and retrieve it?
The bed Torso shares with me after I die and he keeps me preserved
