What kinda music do you think the ghosts would have liked? I think it's interesting since they're all from different points in history. I also wonder if some of the older ghosts would end up liking some modern music as well.

Billy: doesn’t care much for music but he recognizes the jingles of the shows he likes. He likes modern music better.

Jimmy: he’s a product of his time. Likes ragtime/jazzy stuff. Instrumental is his favourite because it helps him concentrate.

Susan: whatever girly pop songs were popular in the 80s. She would still like the same kind of stuff from now.

Jean: she likes whatever, except vulgar rap. She prays Bobby never gets into that (but he totally does)

Royce: he loves 40s-50s songs. Can you blame him? They’re classic! He’d be a little uptight about giving modern music a chance, but he’d secretly like it. Eventually he’d gaslight you and pretend he always said he liked it.

Dana: likes music but has little opinion. Music hasn’t changed much in her time.

Isabella: and they accused HER of witchcraft? What is this disembodied audio!?

Margaret: she likes music, but only soft stuff. It doesn’t matter from when.

Harold: he liked 1800s music but since discovering kids bop he is just DELIGHTED by it. It can pull him out of even the nastiest of moods.

George: he’s chill with anything, really. He likes modern music better though.

Ryan: really insists on songs sang and/or played in real time over those audio machines. He finds the staticky noise of cylinders and records eerie as heck, and remains wary of their modern counterparts.

Horace: whatever’s on he’ll listen to (with only the occasional exception).

Everyone says:

Billy rolls his eyes, crosses his arms, and displays the sassiest attitude possible. “Hugs are for sissies. Bleh.” He’s standing upside-down on the ceiling, so you have tough luck reaching him. The First Born Son sticks his tongue out at you and flickers away.

Jimmy crosses his arms thoughtfully. His voice is muffled by the plastic around his head. “Sheesh, I dunno, kid. I don’t get nothin’ out of hugs, personally.”

Susan giggles and throws her arms around your neck, bringing you in close. She comes between you and Jimmy, so you can’t hug him. “Hehehehe! You’re so cute. And funny.”

Jean smiles softly and brings you into a hug, but she’s a little sad. “Please don’t say that—that you don’t care what happens. Take care of yourself, hon.” She’s frightened of some of the other ghosts. She can sense them stirring in irritation.

Royce grimaces. “I don’t even know you, man. Back off.” He flips his baseball bat—to show off, or would he really use it?

Dana taps the edge of her knife, seeming bored, but if you approach her she raises it at the ready. There’s no doubt she would use it.

Isabella hangs back. She stays far away from everyone, and far away from you. She doesn’t want trouble, but her glare suggests you’ll get it if you push her too far.

Margaret and Harold are shy. They glance to each other—silent, still.

George contemplates. His expression is hard, and his stance just as tense. But when you approach and throw your arms around him, the blacksmith softens. He pats you awkwardly on the back, using his other arm to hold back the still-raging Ryan.

“Hell no!” The Jackal screeches when it’s his turn, no longer after you when it’s you after him. He cowers like a dog. “Not again. Get away from me—I don’t want it!”

As you approach Horace, his bloodshot eyes burn down on you. His arms are crossed. All this affection is annoying him immensely. He grabs you and hurls you away; the rest of the ghosts gasp.

How much do each of the ghosts cry?

Also, how much do they laugh bc I don't wanna be only negative

I don’t think Billy cries much; he’s a tough kid. He laughs only when someone agrees to play with him and he can make fun of them, and it’s not often anyone falls for it anymore, so…just sometimes.

Jimmy doesn’t cry unless he’s really stressed out. As a ghost, there isn’t a lot to be too concerned about though. Plus, it would be extra uncomfortable with all that plastic wrap on his face. He enjoys a good laugh when he can get it, and how often depends on whether the other ghosts are in the mood to take it.

Susan cries fairly often, but not as much as when she was alive. She’s not a heavy laugher, but she certainly giggles a lot!

Jean tries to be strong, and only cries in privacy, which can be hard to get in the glass house. She hasn’t laughed since being alive and with her family. She laughed a lot back then.

Royce can’t remember the last time he cried, and if he did, still wouldn’t admit it. Royce doesn’t laugh often—there’s gotta be something funny or enjoyable to laugh about, and the old geezers here don’t do it for him.

I think Dana cries when she can have her privacy, but she’s cried so much it’s left an emptiness; sometimes tears just don’t come. She never laughs. She was very sullen in life too.

When Isabella was born, she didn’t cry at all. Not once. Still, not a pesky tear has escaped her eye. Damn! Do you guys think she really is a witch!? She laughs like a witch, anyway. It’s not often, but it makes you shiver.

Harold cries the most out of everyone. Margaret can’t cry if she can help it, as she needs to be strong for her son. They laugh together, which is fairly often.

George cries sometimes when he thinks about his family; he’s not worried to admit men cry. He’s pretty open about laughter, too—it shakes the room!

We all know Ryan laughs to cover up every emotion he could possibly have, so he laughs 99% of the time. Sometimes he’s simultaneously crying. Guys, is he okay!?

Like Isabella, Horace has never cried. And he never laughs.

George and Margaret say:

George nods and extends an arm to you; he gives a quick pat on the back. “Appreciate it.” His toothy smile is intimidating, but this time, he means well.

Margaret waddles over and hugs you around the leg. She says nothing, but she’s touched. Harold claps as she returns to him, and it seems he likes you, too!

Very basic! But what do you think the ghosts' favourite foods were when they were alive?

Billy: He liked a lot of snack foods, y’know? Chips, candy, boxed cereals with prizes in them… He’d often pick these things over his mother’s home cooking, which drove her crazy!

Jimmy: Jimmy never had a lot of time. He always had to be on the tracks or the casino making a bet, but would grab some finger food when he got a minute to spare—devilled eggs, sandwiches, salted nuts, cakes…

Susan: I’d say she was pretty fond of fruits. But also, everything she ate would be aesthetic as possible.

Jean: Whatever the average mom eats, so like…home baking? Spaghetti and meatballs? Casserole?

Royce: Royce went out for fast food a lot with his buddies, so burgers, fries…and maybe a milkshake!

Dana: She likely didn’t have a great relationship with food.

Margaret: She’d try to make a healthy example for her son, but she secretly loved candy!

Harold: He loved guacamole baby food so much that he’d throw it up and eat it again! He liked all the circus foods they had around, but his mommy didn’t want her widdle baby eating too unhealthily. 🙁

Isabella: I dunno, stale bread?

George: Anything his wife made for him after a long day of work, but I imagine steak was a favourite!

Ryan: Please just feed the guy—he’s not picky. He’ll usually scarf it all down without even tasting it, so just nothing too hot. 😅

Horace: Something inside me is screaming mostly “TV dinners” but he’s a big guy, and those microwave meals give you hardly anything. Maybe he eats 15 of them? 😵‍💫 I don’t think he puts much thought or care into his diet, but reserves only the best for his rotties!

So what friendships between the ghost would be? Since all the ghost are quite different (from time periods to just personal interest) I’m just kind curious since I’ve seen lots of different takes

The only time the ghosts are technically friends is when they’re all mad at the same person. But when they’ve been imprisoned together in a glass house for that long, they must have found ways to get along. That’s as close to friends/family as we need, right…?

All right, I’m just gonna say they’re friends. 😉

Horace and George are friends. They who kill Dennis together, stay together. 🖤 (I’m so sorry—)

Royce and Susan hang out sometimes, even though they find each other kind of annoying. They’re close in age, but their eras are pretty different. That’s the main challenge.

Also, Susan likes affectionately teasing Billy.

Dana hates everyone. Sorry. She might have put up with Jean talking to her, though. (Especially since Jean is no competition to her for looks, I guess.)

Margaret and Harold have each other—they don’t need anyone else. (And frankly…the other ghosts are a little scared to get vomit on them.)

While everyone else is out there committing violent acts, Billy and Jimmy tend to get left together. They might awkwardly play a game. They might talk, or they might not. When Jean was there, she could keep a conversation going between all three of them.

Billy really looks up to Royce though, not gonna lie…

Jean was wary of most of the ghosts, but she’d try to get along with the less intimidating ones. She felt a certain pang in her heart for Billy, who reminded her of Bobby. Billy could sense her pity, so didn’t like talking to her very much.

Isabella prefers to keep to herself, as everyone is significantly younger than her and she can’t relate.

Ryan could go from severely antisocial to bothering just about anyone. He fights most often with Horace, but rumour has it he enjoys it.
