liv thank you so much for this BC I LOVE THIS MAMMA MIA AU and i want to write it so bad... i think i could do it semi shortly too, like maybe 40k??? but okay here’s the cliff’s notes of the premise that @engagedzukka and i came up with bc megan and i physically cannot stop thinking of zukka aus:

zukka are getting married (they’re in love and obnoxious and there is ABSOLUTELY a lay all your love on me scene okay, it’s necessary)

sokka grew up on ember island bc hakoda and kya dreamed of running a resort together, and zuko spent summers there and they fell in love over many years, it’s all very cute and adorable

unfortunately kya dies prematurely, leaving hakoda to run the resort alone, especially now that sokka and katara are getting older

sokka finds a journal........ about a certain someone (bato).......... by a certain someone (hakoda). he realizes that this certain someone could be the answer to his father’s loneliness, and decides to send a letter to bato inviting him to his wedding

and since bato thinks hakoda is finally reaching out after all these years...... it’s no wonder he shows up!!!!!

featuring young bakoda backstory, sokka (and perhaps katara) bonding with bato on his boat, hakoda’s besties pianjeong who are the absolute worst influences (but really they just want what’s best for hakoda), and a zukka wedding because they don’t call it off dammit, they’re in love!!!
