Rick trying so hard to roast the Vindicators is funny because they all seem like people he’d sleep with
alright since a surprising amount of mutuals expressed interest in it. the vindicators is a comic script of mine following indigenous oaxacan chicana trans woman ifigenia pérez's fight against vigilantism. armed with a wicked purple and black exosuit she cobbled from stolen parts and a huge sword, she finds herself embattled with titans as her actions draw the attention of the vindicators of america, the marginalized liberal imperialist team who fears what she represents.
preterhumans, as they're called, at once represent the status quo and threats to it. history up to the 2020s ran as we know it. across that time, idealistic lines have been drawn to differentiate the superpowered. always on one side you find the imperialists and on the other those threatened by them. the current incarnation of the vindicators represents a modern face of this process: all racialized minorities, they justify their complicity in this violent vigilantist system with their own individual hardship (and that hardship isn't nonexistent!). leading the team is signifer, a 442nd infantry regiment veteran and the team's shield-bearing paragon, who has twice been kicked to the curb for his background and has twice crawled over corpses to get his spot back. he is the primary antagonist, as pathetic (in both senses) as he is frightening.
joining ifi are celia álvarez and theresa "terry" bakker. unlike ifi, these two unambiguously have abilities. the first is a chinese-mexican-american woman and former member of first the young vindicators, a now-defunct junior satellite team, then the proper team, who left after her girlfriend, a fellow member, was killed in 'self defense.' she seeks to atone for her complicity in the teams evils, from the most banal to the most nauseating. possessed of psychic and fire abilities, her girlfriend's death changed her permanently. the latter is a white woman and former ex of ifi's (the second person ifi dated after she came out), the two of whom are officially not on speaking terms. bonded with a cosmic representation of the shadow side of mercury, granting her her unusual abilities, her white knight impulses and idolization of her comrades changes her alongside her bond with this strange being. the three are all lesbians.
the series is arranged into three arcs. the first establishes the three and their fight against vigilantism, until it draws the vindicators' attention. the second follows the vindicators, their pathos and fears and statist violence. the third follows the clash between the two.
anyway i struggle at describing my work. feel free to shoot questions if you have them i like talking lol.

All because this jackass hurt Morty's feelings God he is the grandpa ever
Rick was so upset that Morty doesn't see him as a hero that dude literally got drunker than we've ever seen him before, I hate him so much, he's so pathetic, he's the absolute worst, I love him so much.

In five to ten years, that Vindicators series is going to make clickbait headlines as "The Official Rick and Morty Spin-off That You Never Knew Existed." I'm calling it.
