I think that it's probably Snoke, but I dislike throwing around the term "brainwashing"

About the same tbh - i think the extracts are too vague to be sure, and part of me is like is no one seeing that leia’s feeling too i mean poor ben okay but poor leia as well THX but looking at the options, whether it’s Snoke or something something darkside... under cut.

1) it’s some kind of ~probe and that’s worrying enough itself (something dark taking notice ain’t ever supposed to mean good things) 

2) it’s a mind-probe - Leia doesn’t seem to feel it that way? but Ben may

2a) It just probes. Creepy, worrying, invasive, but still far from brainwashing

2b) The Force is mysterious etc it just somehow... changes something? That’s not brainwashing. Horrible but not the way brainwashing works. At least with brainwashing you can try to resist or manage to break out if it, this is worse. 

3) whatever it is, it’s interested and here to stay and

3a) it comes back regularly.

3b) it actually stays in Ben’s head all the time and i don’t think there’s a word for that. i don’t know how the Force works, but Force Bonds between Masters and Padawans do exist, so i’d see it more as forcing the bond on someone and using it to manipulate them. indoctrination? grooming? how much influence would it have? 

but for now the only thing i feel sure of is it’s some darkside entity that may be Snoke doing some probing or worse. i need details. i’m not even sure the Force Vision can be discounted? i mean, Leia *is* Force sensitive, and Wendig did made a point to allude to her powers in Life Debt.

I’ve seen them (x). Thanks for the head’s up but… I’m waiting for the book and full context because i don’t think things are that clear-cut. From what spoilers i’ve seen, Snoke’s not mentioned in the book, so for me it’s still maybe-Snoke-maybe-not. Seems more likely now, certainly, but definitive? nope. And some dark force entity that may or not be Snoke, hum, probing, shall we say, Leia (she’s clearly feeling some of it herself) and her baby is creepy as fuck but where, pray say, does it specify anyone’s being brainwashed? where does it say it goes any further than probing? that the dark thing that may or may not be Snoke took residency and stayed in the kid’s head for years and years? 

ask me again when i’ll have read the book, but for now that coffin’s not nailed well enough for me.
