“Well shit,” she said as she looked at her groceries now scattered near her on the sidewalk. The bag she had been using ripped, causing everything to fall. She bent down, trying to gather things without people stepping on them.

“September cannot come quick enough.” He murmured to himself as he kept an eye on his kids who were currently playing in the park. He stood out too much amongst other parents who sat on the scattered benches around him. He assumed that most others probably thought he was some kind of perving creep until his kids came running up to him every now and then. He wiped sweat from his forehead, turning his gaze to others around him for a moment, noting someone looking at him. “What?” He raised an eyebrow at them.
