TELL ME ABOUT SOME OF YOUR OCS :D

YO LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT MY DORKS!

(warning: rambling about OC’s ahead)

First there’s Liz, queen of the dorks. She’s a ghost. She’s a bit angsty about it at first but she goes back to her regular dorky self pretty quickly. She likes cracking (sometimes inappropriate) jokes and the occasional prank, and she’s also a video game nerd. She likes dinosaurs, and so any movie about dinosaurs is instantly her favorite. 

Liz likes making others feel good about themselves. She is a ray of positivity and happiness, and tries to brighten people’s days. She’s a good person to ramble to, because she’ll sit and listen to your problems. Or if you’d rather be distracted from your problems, Liz can ramble about anything and will eventually be able to make you laugh, 100% guaranteed.

Despite being a ghost and not needing to eat Liz dabbles in cooking still. She misses being able to enjoy eating, but she does still savor the smell and taste of fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies. She also likes art and music, and is overall a creative and artistic soul.

Liz has a protective side though, and this side should not be angered. It’s part of her ghostly obsession, but she is so, so overprotective of the people she considers family that she will do literally anything for them. The fact that she’s already dead means she will trade places with people who are being tortured if she can, because it does nothing to her and she knows this. Sure her form can destabilize, but so long as she hasn’t been pushed to the brink of moving on she’ll rematerialize in a day or so. And she’ll be right back to her happy-go-lucky self, too. She preaches the motto “live life to the fullest” because she knows that it’s a very small chance that people will become ghosts when they die, so she wants everyone to be able to make the most of their short fleeting existences as another way to make it feel like she’s done some good in the world.

Then let’s move on to Violet. Violet denies being a dork but deep down she has her dork side. She is a gargoyle, brought to modern times after being trapped in a magical a book 1000 years ago. It’s hilarious to watch her interact with technology and other modern-day appliances because she has no idea what she’s doing. Even after a few years of living in modern times Liz still has to teach her or remind her of what’s what, and it’s a bit frustrating for Violet. She’s got a curiosity about the world in general, more interested in wildlife and plants than technology but she still desperately wants to be able to understand.

She’s pretty protective, too. Despite living with superheroes she knows a lot of them are still squishy humans despite their powers and so she does her best to protect them.

Violet loves long flights on quiet days, loves just sitting up high and listening to the world go on around her. She enjoys the company of others, even if she’s not talking with them much and just sitting there quietly while conversations or activities go on around her. She really likes birds and bats for whatever reason, but she also finds she loves dogs too, because there are so many varieties and they’re all so cute. Violet looks menacing but deep down she is a gentle soul who just wants to understand the world, and wants the world to understand her.

Next up let’s talk about Laella. Laella doesn’t know how she got roped into this world of superheroes and dorks, but she takes it all in stride. She isn’t always around because she’s in school and school comes first for her, but if her friends ever need someone to talk to she’ll happily have phone conversations or Skype chats for hours on end.

Laella loves hunting, loves the outdoors, loves animals. She loves her chocolate Lab named Reese, and she loves all the stray cats that roam her neighborhood and beg her for treats. If she could sit in a dog park and just play with dogs all day, she would. 

Laella thinks songs from before 2005 are the best, and she offers no explanation as to why she thinks this. She can’t cook for shit, the best she can do is make some pasta or throw some chicken nuggets or waffles onto a pan and let them bake for the designated amount of time.  The only video game she really plays is Mario Kart, and she and Liz have epic battles to see who is the best of the best. She pushes herself too hard and expects too much of herself, thinks that everything she’s done she could have done better. She gets stressed too easily, doesn’t give herself enough credit, is terrified of failure. Liz is the one who helps her overcome all of this, eventually, but even then Laella can still get caught up worrying over what-might-have-been’s and if-only’s.

Carmen and Brianna always need to be talked about together, because to separate them is a crime. These dorks are totally in love and don’t realize it for several years, but even before they start going out they would never be found separated. They’ve gone through so much shit in their lives, they really just need hugs from everyone for forever. They can’t remember anything about who they were before they escaped the testing facility, just their names and relative ages. They didn’t want to resort to crime but they had no other way to support themselves; without backgrounds they couldn’t hold down jobs and they were too afraid to try and become heroes themselves.

But they’re such good people. They try and help those who are even less fortunate than themselves. They try not to use excessive force, only go after empty homes or stores to steal supplies, give themselves up to regular policemen pretty easily. But the system is a cruel and unforgiving thing and even though they try they just can’t get out on their own.

Brianna likes mechanics and engineering; Carmen likes reading and writing and sketching. They both like warm sunny days on the beach, or cool autumn days overlooking the forests around the city. They both hate winter; it’s the hardest time of the year for them, but Carmen’s elevated body temperature actually makes her vulnerable to sicknesses and just feeling miserable in the cold.

Carmen’s powers make her emotionally volatile, and she hates that about herself. The thing that always calms her down is Brianna. Bri is stable, a rock, and grounds Carmen, though Bri needs Carmen for her own stability just as much. They balance each other’s strengths and weaknesses, and are always there for each other. They like spending nights in front of makeshift fires drinking whatever hot beverage or soup they’ve managed to find, reading books together, dancing; just being with each other brings them so much joy.

1. How did you get into kpop?  - My friend jessicaonew introduced me to kdrama in 2011 via Facebook. When she came to my house one day with a mutual friend, she showed us Lucifer and Ring Ding Dong by SHINee. I fell in love and Jessica and I became close.

2. What kpop song makes you cry? - I’m fine - Ladie’s Code. It makes me sad that I only found out about them because of the accident but I really like them T_T The song makes me think of EunB and Rise.

3. Who is your bias and why? - Onew/Lee Jinki of SHINee because he has an amazing voice and is a complete dork and sweetheart <3

4. Favorite female groups? - Ladie’s Code, Spica, f(x), CLC

5. Favorite male groups? - SHINee, EXO, BTS, SuJu, Infinite, GOT7 and I’m starting to like History and Seventeen

6. Favorite singers?  - Ailee, Eric Nam, K.Will

7. Favorite dance choreography? - I don’t really have one but I guess I really like EXO - Growl and Christmas Day. But I think all choreo is impressive.

8. If you could speak another language what language would be? - At the moment, Korean so that I can better understand Kpop, Kdrama and the people who work so hard to create them. But also Filipino so I can understand what everyone is saying when I go to Jessica’s house...

9. SM, YG or JYP? - At the moment, SM have the most of my favourite groups. But they treat the people in the groups so badly I don’t really want to choose them...

10. Favorite food? - This is a hard one...I love lasagna and popcorn (not together though) 

11. If you could be another person for one day who would it be? - I have never really thought much about this but I guess I would want to be someone who has a completely different situation than mine, good or bad, so that I can learn more about the world.
