📖✨ The Armour of God The Belt of Truth Breastplate of Righteousness Shoes of Readiness & Peace Helmet of Salvation Shield of Faith Sword of the Spirit It's just so amazing that most of God's armour is something that we could use to defend ourselves. 🙏 The only weapon that we have is the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. 💖 Just like how the Devil tempted Jesus Christ three times... Even if the enemy has used God's word out of context to attack and tempt Jesus, Jesus rebuked it through Scriptures as well. The enemy has a way to turn God's word into subject of human critique. Even from the Garden of Eden, the serpent was like, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden?" He's so tricky! And he has a crafty way of twisting the wonderful message of God full of love and mercy into something that people would not like to read. Let's not let him win though. 📖✨ Praise God for today! 🥰 I feel so blessed to have found a certain group on Facebook called "Daily Scripture Writing Plan" 🙏 I have been wanting to read the Bible every day, and have asked some Christian friends for Devotional book recommendations. However, if my goal is to talk to God and ask for Him to work in my life, their only recommendation is none other than the Bible itself 💘 Instead of relying on men and inspiring quotes for enlightenment, isn't it better to receive the message from our Father as well as our Teacher, Lord Jesus Christ Himself... With the help of God's chosen people like apostle Paul to talk to us through His Word 🌹 I've been praying 'cause I didn't really know where to start. Finally, I came across that Facebook group with other believers who author some plans that in God's grace and lovingkindness, would aid us as we try to seek God with all our hearts 💕 *I'm a little reluctant to share this on Bookstagram though. Yet, I know that this is a community of readers who respect and love one another! Hello Love, this week this month has been a whirlwind of events, new things happening and believing for things that are greater than myself. • Sometimes we can lose sight of where God has taken us out from. Doubting where God maybe leading us to. • I want you to know that you're not alone, that you're not alone in believing for big things feeling the fear or doubting. That doesn't make you any less of a believer or more, it just means you're human. We all go through it including me! • I want to not only remind you but also myself that With God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26 • I read something this morning that encouraged me and really put things into perspective. • "As long as you have a desire to touch people and make an impact in the world -- you need to put yourself out there. Faith The Amplified Bible In Hebrews 11:1 describes faith as "the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen (the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses)". Another word for evidence is proof. The definition of proof is "the cogency (the quality of being clear, logical, and convincing - the lucidity) of evidence that compels acceptance by the mind of a truth or a fact; the process of establishing the validity of a statement especially by derivation from other statements in accordance with principles of reasoning; experience; something that induces certainty or establishes validity; the quality or state of having been tested or tried." By these definitions, faith is the confirmation of what God has divinely guaranteed to us. Faith is the proof, the logical and convincing evidence by which we accept truth. Faith is the process of accepting the validity of God's Word, and the unyielding knowledge of God's tried and true faithfulness. Faith is trusting and believing God with absolute certainty because of our experiences. Faith is believing God. Faith is "acting like God is telling the truth", and "acting like it is so, even when it is not so, so that it might be so, simply because God said so." (Tony Evans/Priscilla Shirer). As much as my faith has grown in the last couple of years, I still have more learning and growing ahead of me. Some things that are hindering my faith are unforgiveness, fear, doubt, and lack of trust. But faith without actually believing God is, God can, and God will, is not faith at all. God has the answer for all of my fears, doubts, misgivings, and my lack of trust. Active faith is our shield of protection from the enemy.
