"We'll get through this together. I'll stay with you. I am not leaving your side." Olivia promised "I'll do everything to get you back on your feet." - mark, back in hospital after crash
Mark hated this, he had just been getting back to normal (or at least what he could being at home most of the time) when the chest pains started to hit him. He had been pushing himself over the past few days and whilst he liked to ignore everything to start with, this morning he just felt as though he couldn’t breathe and unable to hide the pain. Liv knew as soon as she woke up and saw him.
And now here he was, lying in another hospital bed, hooked up to machines and an oxygen mask. “I’m sorry, baby.”

Sometimes, it was difficult to see Jackson and Olivia together. If April thought about it for too long, her brain would start to spin, so she tried to leave their business alone.
It was strange, yes. But Olivia was good for Jackson. April knew that. But the fact that they were good together did nothing for the lonely ache inside her chest - in fact, it made that ache ten times worse.
She was sitting in a booth at Joe’s with Olivia across from her. It was Friday night, and they deserved to unwind after a long week. April was beyond whooped.
She lifted her head when she heard the door come open. And then she saw them - Alex and Jackson - both laughing and elbowing each other like they always did.
Simultaneously, April’s gut sank and fluttered. Lately, she’d been trying to stave off the crush she had on Alex - it had come back with a vengeance and it was very, very unwelcome.
“Don’t look now,” she said to Olivia. “But your brother and Jackson just walked in. No! I said, don’t look!”
" you want me to kick his ass? "
April wiped her face roughly with both hands. She hated crying over boys, but she was really bad at avoiding it.
“No, it’s fine,” she told Olivia, trying to catch her breath. “It was my fault. I was the one with the stupid crush on your brother. I should’ve known it would never go anywhere. I just feel so stupid.”

a scowl adorned damon’s face, right hand gripping the cold handle of an umbrella. he stood on the rainy street corner across from seattle grace hospital waiting for the light to change. the last few times he’d been in town he’d gone to this hospital for some blood bags. his gaze wasn’t focused on anything in particular until the girl stepped up beside him. then he couldn’t take his eyes off her. she was petite and beautiful in a girl next door kind of way. there was a vibrance to her; something in the way she held herself seemed especially alive. “ hello there, doctor...? ”
❛ i can’t always help when you’re in trouble. ❜
April let a lout breath from her nose and felt her eyebrows come together in a deep frown.
“I didn’t ask for help,” she said harshly. “I could’ve handled that guy on my own. I have a red belt in karate, you know!
