Their sibling heard, but they didn’t listen, eyes glowing as they gathered their power.

“It’s too much! Stop! You’re going to kill yourself!”

The glowing eyes that met theirs did not match the warm brown of their younger sibling. “Didn’t you notice? I’m already dead.”

Yeehaw! I’m an adopted Texan. I wasn’t born or raised here but I sure do live here now

*waves*  I’m native Texan (Houstonian, specifically, which means things like I hate Dallas and all Dallas sports teams, even though I don’t give a shit about sports.  It’s in my blood, I can’t help it.  Also I can drive Mad Max style and not die.)

When I was 18 I got the fuck out and moved to New York for college, but it didn’t take and I was back in two years craving year round greenery and decent Mexican food.

Tar pit is such a good metaphor for Twitter, especially YA Twitter. It’s gross and dark and sticky, and if you go in there you will die.

Oh my gosh, this is such a good one, thank you!TOUGH because I LOVE SO MANY OF THE CHARACTERS ahhh and so many of them gained more complexity in KoC.

I feel so much for Dara and love the depth of his character, but he isn’t quite a fave. Stil l feel like I should mention him because I really like him and Nahri’s dynamic throughout CoB especially.

Aqisa and Lubayd were a highlight of KoC, and my heart still aches for that whole business.

@dreamlandmilkshakes If that is the only criteria then I am the world’s greatest cook...

@theprincessandthebook They have gotten progressively worse so far, and I’m still only on book 3. I don’t know how I’m going to finish this series.
