My book cover design for Jorge Luis Borge’s ‘Book of Imaginary Beings’.

It’s a Peryton, a mythical creature from Roman mythology that casts a human shadow despite appearing as a winged stag. They were said to be the souls of those who had died without religion. But if they managed to kill a human they would be permitted to fly into the heavens.
