The day embraces the night and says to it: 'I am going to die with you, and you will be born again with me.'
Brothers, whoever dies here dies in the radiance of the future, and we will enter a grave all flooded with the dawn.

Did you love the original fic? Did you love Cait's art of it? Do you love everything Eli, Cee-Sing, Megan, and Teddy have ever touched? Then boy, do I have fabulous news for you!
Back when it was being offered, I commissioned a podfic to be done of A Cat Called Trash Can, and it's finally finished! With @scarabsi narrating, @courfeyracs-swordcane voicing Grantaire, @thecandlesticksfromlesmis voicing Enjolras and composing the music, and @megab voicing Courfeyrac and behind all of the editing magic, it's a real treat, and if you find yourself with an hour to kill, I cannot recommend it enough, they're brilliant.
Real-life Trash Can inspo (and brother) below cut. <3
😬
I know I asked for it, but getting cringeface emoji in my inbox with no other text is hilarious to me.
Since I’m watching Downton Abbey: I cringe very hard at Julian Fellowes trying to convince us that Bates is super caring and romantic rather than being a violent and emotionally manipulative person. A couple seasons ago Anna was so frightened that Bates would murder the asshole that assaulted her that she kept it all a secret. She can’t even confide in her own husband about the worst thing that has ever happened to her. And now in season 6, Bates is making little comments about “I thought you were done with keeping secrets” re: her pregnancy. Meanwhile he refuses to tell anyone anything. Fuck off.
I did it at last.
I know that in my YT comment I promised a watercolour study, @thecandlesticksfromlesmis - and there might be one in the future yet - but here’s what I’ve got so far. As I said before, I’ve fallen in love with the play of emotions in your expressions and simply needed to try and capture it. I won’t call this a fanart since I took it more a a study in facial expressions but still. Huge thanks to the whole @allthatsleftofus for providing me with such great training material!!! :’))
It’s charcoal, dry pastel and watered down ink. The moments I used as references can be found under the cut :’3

(I reblogged that post and immediately fell tf asleep, whoops.)
Anyway. Inspired by a dream I had, I’ve been thinking about how difficult it would be to use lava as a heat source for cooking. It should be a consistent enough heat, but would you be able to get close enough? Would you need like a pot with a handle several meters long? If so would it cook like an oven or a stovetop?
So yeah I googled it and apparently this has been tried and works, you just need a less-fresh lava flow on which to park your grill, and you’re not supposed to boil water with it because that can cause a steam eruption. Either way I’ve got something to do if I go to Iceland or Hawaii. It seems it takes as much time to cook as putting something in the oven tho so I might just stick to popcorn
Hey team! Super excited for this project! Will there be any room for a short film to be made based off a fic instead of a piece of art? Totally understand if that makes things too complex. Thanks!
Hi! We're really happy to know you're just as excited as we are for this project! You can definitely do a short film for the bang, we'll count you in as an "Artist" in terms of role, so you'll just need to pop into the collab channel to look for/choose a writer as a partner for the bang. We'll also be able to provide for a film "beta" in case you were to need it. Just make sure to be on time when it comes to the check-ins and, most importantly, for the deadline!
(i’ve submitted candlesticks to hundreds of blogs this past week and your blog has by far the coolest theme i’ve seen)
An actual picture of the blogger, mid-drink of wine, upon receiving this submission:
MAINLY BECAUSE, FIRST AND FOREMOST, I WAS NOT EXPECTING ACTUAL CANDLESTICKS AND NOW I CAN DIE IN PEACE FOR NOW MY BLOG IS BLESSED, and secondly, thanks! I didn’t actually design it, I just borrowed it, but I appreciate it nonetheless!
