In realtà, vista la tradizionale avversione di Ferruccio Lamborghini per le gare, l'auto divenne un laboratorio su cui sviluppare soluzioni destinate ai futuri modelli stradali. Finito il periodo di sperimentazione l'auto venne venduta ad un privato ma finì distrutta in un incidente stradale.
