Arthur is short, and Gilbert can’t get used to it

A bit more under the cut because I love this AU, thank you for asking!

- Just height difference shenanigans*. Gilbert getting frustrated because “hell’s sake, how do you live like this” and Arthur is like “you’re exaggerating” yet still arrives home with a throbbing forehead, having miscalculated how much to duck to enter the car.

- Some magical creatures still approach Gilbert first, thinking he’s Arthur, but he can’t see them and Arthur cries inside (and a little outside) every time he sees his own body absent-mindedly swatting away some curious fairies as if they were flies.

- Gilbert complains that he has a permanent headache since he woke up, “Have you had any tea?” “What?” “A cup. Of tea. My body needs it.” So they spend the next twenty minutes arguing about unhealthy habits and addictions.

- “England” making dad jokes in the corridor that are actually funny but everyone is too confused by it to laugh.

- ARTHUR TRYING TO IMITATE GILBERT’S HISSING LAUGH. AND FAILING.

- They’re an old married couple. That doesn’t stop them from trying to annoy the hell out of the other while this lasts.

*I don’t use canon heights.
