Ok so heres the long version of the story: I was sick last week and wanting to make the most of being home all day, i called a repair person to check out my noisy washer and dryer. The dryer was an easy fix but my washer needs to be replaced. My itty bitty house means basically ordering the smallest appliances online so i just set it up from my computer and then i had to move the fridge, amongst other things, to clear a path for replacing the washer. Turned out the fridge, which was sitting on the spot where Flashy had ruined the floor years ago by peeing on the side of the fridge... Before i figured it out.. Cleaned it best i could w enzyme cleaner, put the fridge on top and then made a little plastic-lined "bathroom" for him where the pee was contained going forward.. So the fridge was leaking into the floor where it had revived the 7 yr old cat pee.. And moving it unleashed a stinky flood just before the washer arrived. Turned out theres still more things need to be removed/replaced before the old washer can be removed or the new one can be brought in while I've been cleaning and trying to dry and deodorize the area that used to be under the fridge, which now lives in the middle of the room. Getting a new fridge probably Wednesday because this ones from like 1980 anyway and has other problems besides leaking. In fact i was talking about replacing it a few weeks ago anyway, but now im just trying to eat and drink the stuff in it b4 Wed while i figure out how to get all the stuff done that needs doing to get the washer replaced before i run out of clean underwear when i dont have a lot of time this week and theres a fridge in the way. People like to say "adulting is hard" but ill take this over being a kid any day. Eventually all my appliances will be white. Not today but eventually. Then they will match #thecoffeetable and life will be grand. Ill replace the floor eventually but my house is so small i basically need to move out for a week. Flashy is a middle-aged cat w a heart condition. _ きっと、もともとカフェインにはそんなに強くない体だったんだとは思うけど、 会社員時代は、朝来てとりあえずコーヒー、お昼前にコーヒー、昼ごはん後にコーヒー、夕方にコーヒー、定時過ぎてからまたコーヒー、というように、 カフェイン中毒がというくらいに常飲してたので、いつのまにか好きになっていたというか、耐性が付いていた。 . フリーランスになってからは、そこまで常飲しなくなったので、1日に2杯が限界になった。いろんな意味で、慣れって怖い。 . とはいえ、コーヒー好きは変わらないので、どこかへ旅行に行くたびに、その土地のコーヒースタンドはチェックする。昔ながらの喫茶店も好きで行くのだけど、知らない土地では、最近の新しい人が営んでいるコーヒー屋に行きたい。 . そういった所に行けば、その辺りの面白い場所の情報は手に入るし、何なら友達の友達がお店の人だったりする。それに、そういったお店の人は、昔ながらの喫茶店や地元民しか知らない情報も大体知っている。 . この前の新潟は3度目だったのだけど、このthe coffee tableには未だに行けていなかって。言わば、3度目の正直というやつだ。 . コーヒーは勿論、焼き菓子が最高に美味しかった、特にバナナブレッドが。ここだけの話、僕はバナナ自体あまり食べることがなくて、特に火を通してお菓子にしたものはほとんど口にしない。他に選択肢があれば、別のものを選ぶ傾向にある。 . にも関わらず、ここのバナナブレッドは、甘過ぎず（ここ重要）、生地もボソボソしてなくて、上に乗っていたホイップクリームも変な癖が無くて（ここも重要）、食感のアクセントに散らせたナッツもちょうど良く、あくまでコーヒーが主役という感じがした。 . お取り寄せしたいくらいだし、またどこかで #オギープラザ をやるときに出してほしいくらいだ。 . そのとき売り切れていたチーズケーキもよほど美味いのだろう。 . #thecoffeetable #おぎアングル (The Coffee Table)
