Garen walked out of his dorm and down the hallway, he was cheerful today, the events of the last few days keeping his mind at ease. Clad in his typical gold and blue clothing, he trotted merrily along until he stopped at the sound of conversation, he was not too curious as to find out who it was. (I was reading over that journal entry that you wrote and I was wondering if your Mima might have known Shotoku to some extent during one of her reincarnation cycles. I’m asking because it intrigued me and I‘m a bit curious about it. Oh, and don’t worry about the simultaneousearsofdharma blog, he (Umayado) isn’t going to ‘haunt’ or bother Mima. At least not without a reason for it.)

I’m rather glad you asked this, actually!

You see, out of the 46 lives Mima has lived, she only had been born and raised in Japan two times, both of which during rather dangerous times. The first time concerns of Prince Shotoku, as Mima during that time was a part of the Mononobe clan. She was alive during the battle between the two, and was killed in action shortly before it ended. She wasn’t really that nice during that time anyway. Of course, not only wouldn’t Prince Shotoku not know of Mima, but it would be slightly hard to believe that she was in the war, considering her appearance is feminine, while all of the soldiers were males on both sides (well, mostly, if you wish to consider Futo.). But as I explained, Mima has been guys before, so if one knew the onryou well, it wouldn’t be that much of a surprise.

The second time was during when Yuyuko was alive and the Ayakashi was going about, but again, it’s only a minor thing, as she wasn’t killed by the Ayakashi (or she wouldn’t be here, since it eats souls), neither was she related to Yuyuko other than being in the same village as her.

     Today has been another exhausting one, unfortunately, as I tried to get much as I could get finished today in a short amount of time. From what I could observe, many spirits had been acting odd lately, especially out by the Human Village. But of course, the only reason why I rushed was because I knew Reimu, and maybe a few others, would go to investigate this. Knowing Reimu, if she saw me out and about with the spirits, I would immediately be accused for this. I couldn’t risk letting myself become discovered again, and then have my infamy raise again. That would only delay everything. Again. 

    Of course, as I predicted, Reimu, alongside with Marisa, the other shrine maiden, and that child who is close to that of a zombie (If I recall correctly, her name was Youmu), had went to investigate. Much as I wished to see what they would see, I must remain where I am to avoid detection. My plans are more vital than a simple adventure, after all.

     When they came back, I was quite surprised by the amount of gossip they were spewing. It appears, a prince from long ago had revived, as a female oddly. Soon as I heard the name of ‘Shotoku’, though, I immediately knew who they were talking about. It’s shameful that another one from my past lives had come back to haunt me. Umayado was back, huh? What a disappointment. What an annoyance he was, especially with that Kaku character that was around. I had never been interested in Taoism, and I find it frustrating that I was hearing about it every corner I went to! I was hoping never to lay ears upon ever again, but it appears I was so deeply wrong.

     However, despite my disappointment, I am interested. Though Marisa was as boisterous and energetic as ever (that’s my girl), the others appeared completely exhausted. Perhaps, if he, or as I should say now, she was able to tire them so much after being revived, then there must be some extent of power to her. I shall plan one day to visit and peek in on said prince, just as a small reunion, you could say. But till then, I must stay low until everything calms about this incident.
