Treat! (I had to, I'm sorry.)
A deep sigh escaped her and she looked at the knight with an almost loving expression. They'd had their ups and downs but....well who didn't? And right now was definitely an 'up'. Well, for her at least.
"I don't understand this, all of this commotion over some fat man breaking into children's homes doesn't make any sense," he grumbled as he was forced to decorate her Christmas tree.
"It's not just about that! And it's not half as creepy as you make it sound!" she laughed, hanging a tiny music box ornament on a branch."It's about good will and charity and being showing those you love that you do love them and are thankful for them. It's all in the spirit," she explained with a smile. She loved holidays, all of them from both her own world and earth, but Christmas had earned a special place in her heart. The holiday could really change people, and she'd seen it more than once.
"Well that's fine, but why are you decorating almost two months in advance?" he asked with a sigh. Even if he tried to be annoyed, it just wouldn't manifest properly, not when she was smiling like that and rattling off about things that probably contradicted human nature.
"Because I want plenty of time to experience all of those things, and it helps set the mood," she answered, casting a glance over to him as he clumsily hung the remaining ornaments. Silently and swiftly she moved behind him, sliding her arms around his torso and resting a check against his shoulder blade,"I'm thankful for you..." she hummed out, electing to leave out the first part of 'love them and thankful for," for now. She didn't need to scare him off just yet, right?
His cheeks flushed and he was thankful that she couldn't see, though he suspected she could feel his heart hammering in his chest. "Well....I suppose I'm..thankful for you too.." he replied, placing his arms over hers. Maybe this Christmas nonsense wasn't all bad after all.
(That probably should have been about Halloween...but that already happened so here!)
