Oooh! The Indigogo for @thefarmeridian is 80% funded! We're almost there! We're almost to the 3rd and final season of Peri and the lighthouse. Do you need eternal thanks, stickers, linocut prints?? The choice is up to you! Go look at their Indigogo and take a look!
The Far Meridian (@thefarmeridian ) from The Whisper Forge, is a sweet, sensitive, mystery podcast. Peri is an agoraphobic young woman, who isn't sure of her place in the world, or what she wants to do with her life. Her brother, Ace, has always been the one who understands her best. When Ace disappears, Peri is willing to do whatever it takes to find him, even if it means going outside. Then something odd happens, the family home, an old lighthouse, where she and her brother still live, begins to *travel* to odd and different places every night with no rhyme or reason. Only thinking of Ace and what he would do for her, Peri manages to venture out each day to look for him, and to find clues, hoping each morning/location will bring her closer. As she does, Peri finds a well of inner strength she never knew she had. Peri is played by Eli Barraza, one of the writers for Ars Paradoxica @arsparadoxica (and voice cameos on Unseen and The Bright Seasons). Noah Gildermaster is Ace José Donado as Benny Danielle Shemaiah as Ruth, another writer from Ars Paradoxica Together with a cast of other wonderful professional actors, you will travel along with Peri looking for lost family, making new friends, finding old friends in unexpected places, and on a journey of self discovery. What I love about this show is it's kindness towards it's characters, it's showcase of multicultural talent, discussion of LGBTQIA+ relationships, but with all the gentleness you would want. Just as people and as characters. And the writing and acting are excellent. Sound design is by Misha Stanton, of...literally everywhere, Ars Paradoxica, The Bright Sessions, Marvels, Wolf 359, Our Fair City, Star Tripper...etc. you get the idea. He is one of those people who's name is everywhere, because he's just that good. Thinking about this, I think the show might actually be #familyfriendly for middle grade/young adults, with caveats for suspense, scary moments, and interpersonal/family drama. Season 3, the final season, is on hold for, you know that same dam*ed pandemic that has messed up everything. So stay tuned for that. But in the mean time, go listen!
07/31/18 #audiodramaeveryday I sadly never got around to doing a #audiodramasunday post this week, so I’m going post about two really exciting things downloaded to my Apple #podcast feed today. The first is a teaser for the triumphant return of the space medical drama/comedy #EOS10, or is it more of a comedy/drama? But it is coming back this September. Also #thefarmeridian released the first of three shorts counting down to the beginning of season 2! Fall is certainly #Audiodrama season!
