What did he want from her? She was his wife — his fifth wife — and once again, this relationship proved to be a fling instead of true love. It disappointed Andrés, because he thought he’d truly loved her, but he couldn’t stop thinking about Martín. Every time he was in bed with Tatiana, he pretended it was his best friend instead. It was clear that they were growing apart; whether he intended to or not, Andrés was pushing her away.

He still cared about her, just… not in the same way as before. “Tatiana, mi amor, all I want from you is honesty.” He looked her in the eyes, hands reaching out to grab hers. “I know you’re keeping something from me. Tell me what it is.” In all honesty, he wasn’t sure if she had any secrets. The only thing he was sure of was that he didn’t love her the same way he used to on their wedding day.

Or maybe she was exactly his type. Maybe he’d seduced her and brainwashed her. His face suddenly softened, and his eyes filled with sympathy. “It wasn’t your choice, was it?”
