Lacking a photo of Ron Rice by Allen for our underground filmmaker parade, we’ll include Taylor Mead in his stead who’s the main role in his first film, “The Flower Thief,” (1960) ’pre-Andy’ as Mead put it. A first for both, Taylor went on to appear in ‘in a hundred and some’ films, while Rice made just four more before he passed away in Acapulco in 1964.
